Our manufacturers in the service of safety

In view of securing major eventsthe Rugby World Cup (RWC2023) and the Olympic Games (JOP 2024), the French Ministry of the Interior and Overseas France (MIOM) has decided to carry out the following activities operational experiments in order to best match technologies with the needs of internal security forces. In this context, MIOM has benefited from the support of French manufacturers, organized within the strategic committee for the security industry (CSF-IS).

The CSF-IS is delighted with the success of these trials, which saw an unprecedented mobilization of the French industry. They showcased solutions proposed by manufacturers from the five major CSF-IS groups, with results well beyond the initial commitments.

Among the various experimental blocks, command resources were a central theme, particularly in the context of crisis management. Solutions from numerous manufacturers were tested, piloted by ATOS/Eviden and Thalès: Alcatel-Lucent, Athea, L'avion Jaune, Axone, Chapsvision, CS Group, Docaret, Egidium technologies, IGO, M2M Factory, Magellium, NAMR, Nuances Technologies, Oppscience, Streamwide, Traak, TT géomètres experts and Vectuel.

Among them, CS Groupe presented its hypervision solution CrimsonAlready installed at the Centre de Planification et de Conduite des Opérations (CPCO), in some forty French departmental fire and rescue services (SDIS), several French military bases (eventually some thirty), and at the 7 defense and security zones (COZ), Crimson is a solution that provides an operational information system perfectly adapted to civilian and military digital spaces, to support operations management and decision-making.

In order to meet the operational needs of internal security forces in preparation for the 2024 Olympic Games, several scenarios were run with a series of incidents requiring the coordination of various security and rescue players: PP, SAMU, BSPP, EMZD Paris, C2A2, Paris City Hall, operational forces (Sentinelle), Dragon 75 and river service.

In view of the success of the experiments carried out around this block, as illustrated by Crimson, we now need to ensure the long-term viability of the actions undertaken. While the key areas necessary to the transformation and technological reinforcement of the Ministry have been identified, we now need to implement them in an operational dimension, making the most of the conclusions drawn from the experiments. This implementation will not only ensure that our forces are ready for the JOP2024, but will also provide them with innovative and recognized sovereign solutions for years to come!
