Press release
Paris, March 17, 2026
- In line with the Orange Group's «Trust the Future» strategic plan, which places trust at the heart of its promise, Orange Business is launching Live Collaboration, a sovereign collaborative suite hosted on Cloud Avenue SecNum.
- Commercially available from March 2026 in France, this trusted solution enables companies and public bodies to reduce their technological dependency, retain control over their sensitive data and regain control over the costs of their collaborative tools.
Live Collaboration brings together the main uses of professional collaboration in a unified experience: messaging, calendars and directories, collaborative workspaces, document co-editing, videoconferencing, telephony, intranet, as well as enterprise integration functions such as single sign-on, directory and calendar synchronization, Outlook compatibility and interconnections with other communication tools. Offered under a single contractual model, the solution is operated end-to-end by Orange Business, which assumes responsibility for performance, security and operation.
A sovereign response to rising costs, technological lock-in and new digital vulnerabilities
Some companies and public bodies find themselves heavily dependent on a single cloud collaboration solution provider. This can result in unbalanced negotiations when renewing their framework agreements, and difficulties in meeting the needs of employees in particular functions (for example, those handling highly sensitive data, or involved in business continuity plans). Live Collaboration offers a sovereign, controlled solution to mitigate this dependency. In a market highly concentrated around major software publishers, where technical and pricing conditions can change unilaterally, the solution limits the risks of technological lock-in and dependence on a single supplier.
Live Collaboration enables organizations to regain control over costs, strengthen business continuity plans, and reduce exposure to geopolitical tensions and digital supply chain disruptions. By introducing a sovereign alternative within their collaborative estate, organizations strengthen their bargaining power vis-à-vis large international suppliers.
Hosted in France on Cloud Avenue SecNum, qualified SecNumCloud and operated in Orange Business' Grenoble datacenter, the suite is based on a European, French-dominated 100% software chain. In concrete terms, all the functional components - messaging, videoconferencing, co-editing, telephony and intranet - are supplied by European publishers and integrated by Orange Business within the same platform. Collaborative data remains protected by French law, safe from extraterritorial laws, meeting the requirements of the most sensitive organizations.
The best in innovation and scaling up
Key technology partners integrated into the Live Collaboration launch include eXo Platform (digital workplace and collaborative portal), BlueMind (messaging), Pexip (videoconferencing), Mailinblack (email protection, anti-spam and anti-virus), Linphone (telephony) and OnlyOffice (office suite and co-editing). Most of these partners work with open-source models, making the solution even more resilient in the event of disruption to the digital supply chain.
By making these bricks fully interoperable within a single experience, Orange Business guarantees functional consistency and coordinated evolution of the whole, providing a single support and contact point. This innovative configuration offers our customers the opportunity to take full advantage of the latest technological advances, while benefiting from the solid expertise of a trusted digital partner.
Gradual adoption with support
Live Collaboration is designed to adapt to organizations' digital strategies. The solution can be deployed on a modular basis, for all or some employees, depending on the level of data sensitivity or business continuity requirements. It can coexist with other collaborative suites already in place, and be introduced progressively for the most critical populations, creating real negotiating leverage with major collaborative solution providers when renewing contracts.
Orange Business leverages its experience in telephony, collaboration and multi-vendor solutions integration to simplify migrations and automate the most common use cases. The modern interface, focused on simplicity, facilitates adoption; change management is anticipated and supported to make it a positive experience for users, while maximizing the use of truly useful functionalities, perfectly adapted to the needs of professionals.
" With Live Collaboration, we offer a sovereign and competitive solution to the world's major collaborative ecosystems. Against a backdrop of rising prices, market concentration and the risk of technological lock-in, our ambition is to give companies back control of their data, costs and architecture choices, while offering their teams an efficient, easy-to-adopt experience. »declares Wassila Zitoune-Dumontet, General Manager, Orange Business France.
" The trusted collaboration market is booming. The potential is enormous, and the stakes for Europe are fundamental. We're delighted to be partnering with Orange Business to become part of Live Collaboration, a complete cloud collaboration solution that strengthens the digital sovereignty of its customers. With Orange Business and the other technology partners, we each bring the best of what we have: together, we really make a difference. »declare Veronika Mazour, CEO eXo platform and Pierre Baudracco, CEO BlueMind.
