The war in Ukraine has rekindled the need to develop and maintain a sovereign and resilient Defense Technological and Industrial Base (DTIB) for the future. ensure strategic autonomy by equipping armed forces. The conference held at Bercy on March 20, 2025 focused on the challenges of financing the DTIB and the financial levers to be activated to supporting and developing defense businessese to meet safety needs.
To increase production capacity, the government will improve financing for the DTIB by strengthening public financing mechanisms of the defense industry, by increasing the ability of private and public investors to position themselves in defense while ensuring compatibility with sustainable financing, and by allowing the French to direct their savings to the defense.
