Kabul, August 15, 2021. As American troops prepare to leave the country, the Taliban storm the capital and seize power. Amid the chaos, thousands of Afghans try to take refuge in the last remaining safe haven: the French Embassy. Major Mohamed Bida and his men were the only ones to ensure security. Caught in a trap, he decides to negotiate with the Taliban to organize a last-chance convoy with the help of Eva, a young Franco-Afghan humanitarian. A race against time begins to evacuate the refugees to the airport and escape the hell of Kabul before it's too late.
The film 13 JOURS 13 NUITS highlights the values at the heart of GICAT's DNA: technological excellence, human commitment, the ability to act in a crisis context, all underpinned by a collective vision of duty and responsibility. These are all dimensions that the French defense and security industry embodies through its men, women and expertise. This partnership is a unique opportunity to promote these values to a wide audience, well beyond the institutional or professional perimeter, and to remind people of the central role played by this industry in our sovereignty and collective security.
"This partnership was an obvious choice, because this film illustrates better than a long speech the capacity of our armed forces and security forces, as well as our ability to meet the challenges of the 21st century.
diplomacy to project itself into conflict zones, thanks to its proven, high-performance French equipment".
- Jean-Marc Duquesne, GICAT General Delegate
