AT&T selects STREAMWIDE to supply FirstNet's next-generation mission-critical application for public safety in the U.S.

Paris, September 30, 2025 - AT&T has chosen STREAMWIDE to provide its next-generation secure mission-critical communications solution for FirstNet®, Built with AT&T, the only communications network built with and for US emergency services. FirstNet currently supports more than 30,000 agencies and public safety organizations.

Based on the 3GPP standard for mission-critical services over mobile networks (MCX: Push-to-Talk, video, data, command rooms etc.), the solution introduces next-generation capabilities that go far beyond the traditional digital radio networks currently used by first responders, including police, fire, ambulance and other critical emergency services.

Through this collaboration, AT&T is integrating STREAMWIDE's proven, mission-critical technology into its portfolio, creating a state-of-the-art solution designed for the most demanding environments.

The main benefits for mission-critical public safety organizations are as follows:

  • 3GPP-compliant MCX services offering pushto-talk, secure multimedia, geolocation, real-time video, secure messaging and more on a wide range of mobile devices;
  • Large-scale interoperability thanks to IWF (InterWorking Function) technology, which enables communication between cellular users and virtually all traditional terrestrial mobile radio systems - marking the first large-scale deployment of IWF according to 3GPP standards;
  • Smooth transition from traditional digital radios (LMR/P25) to advanced 4G and 5G cellular platforms;
  • Guaranteed quality of service thanks to full integration with AT&T's advanced network, enabling preemption and QoS management;
  • Reliability assured thanks to several geo-redundant platforms across the United States.

This project marks a strategic and decisive step forward for STREAMWIDE in the United States, underlining the confidence placed in its technology by a major operator in the public safety sector.

STREAMWIDE solutions have already been successfully deployed and validated by public safety agencies and officers in Europe and on other continents. This project confirms STREAMWIDE's worldwide leadership in mission-critical communications.

Pascal Beglin, Chairman and CEO of STREAMWIDEsaid:
We are proud to provide world-renowned technology for mission-critical applications. This collaboration with a world leader in telecommunications and a leading public safety organization in the USA demonstrates, once again, the trust placed in our solutions. It underscores the maturity of our technology and the unique value we bring in helping organizations and their users to migrate smoothly to innovative 4G/5G platforms, while ensuring full interoperability with their existing communications systems. We are honored to bring this new technology to public safety professionals across the Atlantic.. "

Pascal Beglin added:
Being selected by AT&T to provide mission-critical services for such a large-scale public safety project is tremendous recognition of our expertise. With up to 30,000 public safety agencies and organizations on FirstNet, this deployment will set a global benchmark, demonstrating STREAMWIDE's ability to deliver innovation, resilience and security on a massive scale.

Matt Walsh, Assistant Vice President of FirstNet and Next Generation 9-1-1 Solutions at AT&Tsaid:
As a partner to public safety, we are always on the lookout for the best collaborations to innovate in the service of first aid. We strive to create the best platforms and evolve with the needs of public safety. STREAMWIDE's proven expertise will help us give American public safety services the flexibility they need to adapt to any emergency situation they may face." .
